The pure saffron "3Torri" is included in the list of traditional agri-food products of Umbria. It is cultivated on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, in the hamlet of San Leo Bastia, a small village situated between the municipalities of Cortona and Città di Castello, in a valley dominated by three ancient lookout towers, from which the brand takes its name.

This saffron is a completely natural product, obtained exclusively from the dried stigmas of saffron flowers. Harvesting takes place manually between October and November, in the early hours of the morning, when the flowers are still closed, protecting them from exposure to sunlight and insects that could compromise the organoleptic properties of the stigmas. The stigmas, with their purplish-red color, are then delicately separated from the flower and immediately dried at 40 °C to best preserve their aroma and characteristics.

Traditionally, saffron is attributed with therapeutic and aphrodisiac properties. Thanks to its fluidizing effect, it improves blood and fluid circulation. Since ancient times, it has also been used in the preparation of anti-inflammatory and healing ointments.
