It is the sweet wine par excellence among the volcanic hills of Soave and the oldest version of the wine from these areas. In the past, only Recioto was produced, and even sparkling versions. Agostino Vicentini has a maniacal care for the grapes he harvests and that he lets dry every year in his drying rooms.
Only the best golden bunches of Garganega, those that have always formed the wings of the bunch, the so-called “recie”. These are the bunches richest in aromas and sugars and therefore the best for making this nectar. The drying of the grapes lasts a long time, from September to the following March. Agostino is perhaps one of those who prolongs the drying of his grapes the most. This allows for an unmatched density and aromatic richness of the wine.
Describing it is not easy as it is so complex and rich in scents and aromas. Candied fruit, citrus, dried apricots, dried fruit, vanilla and cream, ginger, sweet spices. On the palate, it maintains an extraordinary balance with a beautiful perception of fruit and an elegantly almond-like finish.
