For the Stelzer family, it is important that each bottle reflects the vintage in which it was produced and that the care they take in ensuring the health of the vineyard is the same as that which they devote to protecting their everyday living environment.


Maso Martis: 30 years of love and passion

Maso Martis was founded in 1990 from an ambitious entrepreneurial idea by Antonio and Roberta, who aimed to produce Classic Method sparkling wine. At that time, it was quite a challenge because this type of product from Trentino had not yet achieved the high-quality reputation it enjoys today with the territorial brand Trento DOC.
Currently, Classic Method production is an integral part of the company, which has embraced organic farming over the years, obtaining ICEA certification, both in the vineyard and in the winery, since 2013.

Maso Martis is located in Martignano, at the foot of Monte Calisio (also known as Argentario) above Trento, at an altitude of 450 m: a mountainous area with a long history of cultivation since the late 1800s, excellently exposed and caressed by mountain breezes. The soil in which the vineyards of Maso Martis are born and grow is predominantly clayey and calcareous, rich in skeletal elements on red Trentino rock, which gives the products their particular minerality.


Maso Martis: more than just a sparkling wine

The idea of safeguarding the health of the grapes and the environment has guided the company towards organic farming. The products signed by Maso Martis, in fact, come from certified organic grapes of its own production and from those of small organic certified farmers on the hills of Trento, providing further assurance of superiority for the end consumer.
Working with organic methods means utilizing the natural fertility of the soil while enhancing it with limited interventions, promoting biodiversity in our environment by limiting or excluding the use of synthetic products and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). The Maso Martis Company practices eco-sustainable viticulture and the harvest is strictly done by hand.

Since 1986, there are 12 hectares cultivated with vineyards on calcareous soil, rich in skeletal elements and red Trentino rock. Today's production amounts to approximately 90,000 bottles annually, of which 80,000 are dedicated to Trento DOC. The Trento DOC is unique, just like Trentino, a territory suited for the production of sparkling wines. The base wine, necessary for its production, is obtained from the gentle pressing of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc or Meunier grapes.
The Trento DOC is synonymous with the classic method, a production that requires much passion, a lot of labor, and great patience for the long waits.
