A family story all Italian, made of passion, tradition, and craftsmanship.
Our story begins in the 1960s when brothers Walther and Leo Carmonini, at that time distributors, acquired the precious original recipe for traditional Chiacchiere Salate from a baker in Ferrara. From that moment on, our family decided to carry on this tradition by keeping the recipe unchanged, carefully selecting the ingredients, and respecting the natural rising times (20 hours!) as was done in the past when there were no additives. We are a small artisanal company that aims high while remembering our history.
Today, the company is run by us, the children of Leo: Alessandro, Rita, and Lorenzo, who, while keeping the founders' vision intact, allow people to taste the same flavor of the past. Even now, the secret of our Chiacchiere Salate (dough, processing, rising) is closely guarded and is the foundation of our success.
We look ahead and, without renouncing our Emilian roots, we study new products. Thus, Fantapiada is born, a reinterpretation of the traditional piadina that is transformed into an original crunchy savory snack.
In line with our company values, we use simple, healthy, and high-quality ingredients, without the addition of colorings and additives.
