We are in the small village of Val Gandino in the province of Bergamo: Cirano, where the story of this company began thanks to the idea of Claudio, one of the first entrepreneurs to dedicate himself to the online sale of home linen. The Gandino area is known to everyone as "the Valley of Textiles", where high-quality manufacturing activities have succeeded and refined over the centuries, accompanied by an uncommon commercial enterprising spirit.

LoveHome: the story of the leffesi blankets

This unique initiative brought the Gandino merchants of pannilana (soft wool fabric) to every corner of Europe and the "leffesi" blankets to squares all over Italy (there was a warehouse even in Palermo), with the typical charm: “Goods for less and no money, payment three months after death!”, this was the promise with which the street vendors of the late 1800s enticed and attracted their customers to propose their high-quality goods. Nothing was left to chance: coded words were studied and used by the vendors, who generally moved in groups of three, to understand each other and to appeal to the customers. The goods were praised with rhyming phrases and spontaneous jokes, which also entertained the audience a bit. Let's remember that at the time there was no TV and the arrival of the Bergamaschi was a celebration for everyone.
