Saffron 3Torri was established in 2020, on the border between the municipalities of Cortona and Città di Castello, in one of the most enchanting areas of central Italy.

After years spent in the world of graphics and printing, Luca decided to return to his roots and rediscover the joy of agriculture.

Together with his partner, a teacher by profession, he started this activity with a clear goal: to produce high-quality saffron, grown with love and in total respect for the environment.

The activity is based on the recovery of old family land, which Luca has decided to revive with environmentally respectful cultivation. The saffron is the heart of the production, and every phase of the process is designed to ensure a product of the highest quality.
 

Alpaca manure: the best organic fertilizer

To fertilize the saffron fields, Alpaca manure is used, a natural fertilizer rich in essential elements for the healthy growth of plants, sourced directly from the company's small breeding operation. This is a fertilizer that is particularly valued for its high content of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium; these nutrients promote lush growth of saffron, ensuring the superior quality of the product.

In addition to Alpaca manure, the company also uses natural mulching techniques to cover the land, a practice that helps keep the soil fertile and well-nourished. This sustainable approach allows for the avoidance of chemical fertilizers, relying solely on the "waste" from the farm.
