Il Carasau di Sardegna: scopri i prodotti

Carasau di Sardegna, founded in 2023, is a company born with the goal of preserving and spreading the Sardinian tradition of Pane Carasau, an authentic excellence of Sardinia.

The company, family-run, is the evolution of an activity present in the territory of Ovodda, in Barbagia, since 1999, a place known as "the bread town".

The brothers Nicola and Riccardo, heirs of the passion for baking passed down from their mother Maria Rosa, lead the company with the aim of bringing the authentic flavors of Sardinia to tables all over the world.

Carasau di Sardegna: an artisanal and sustainable production process

Carasau di Sardegna stands out for its artisanal production process and the use of 100% Sardinian wheat, stone-ground in its own mill. This allows complete control over the supply chain, ensuring a genuine product of superior quality.

The wheat mainly comes from the areas of Marmilla, Trexenta, and Campidano di Cagliari, regions known for their agricultural excellence.

The company combines tradition and innovation, with a constant commitment to improving the product without ever betraying Sardinian culture and traditional recipes.

The Pane Carasau not only represents the quality of local raw materials but also the care and dedication that goes into every phase of the production process.

Carasau di Sardegna: pane Carasau and pane Guttiau

Carasau di Sardegna is committed to bringing an authentic product to the table, a symbol of Sardinian culture and its ancient traditions, always with an eye on quality and innovation.

Many people know Pane Carasau, but how many know Guttiau?

We know that typical products around Italy are practically endless (and all delicious, by the way), but while pane carasau is well-known and often found in any gathering in front of a table, pane guttiau is less known.

What is pane Guttiau?

Technically, pane Guttiau is a product derived from the semi-finished product of Pane Carasau, known as "pane modde", which is broken into small "chips" and fried in sunflower oil, then salted.
This processing makes it a snack, an alternative to fried potatoes or peperone crusco for appetizers, for a night out with friends, for any moment when a "crunch" that smells of that beautiful island called Sardinia is needed!
