True Rice is an agricultural and entrepreneurial project born in the province of Bergamo, where rice cultivation meets a modern and sustainable approach. Here, in the heart of the Lombard plain, the rice fields thrive thanks to an ideal microclimate and environmentally friendly agricultural management. Each grain is the result of a transparent supply chain, which combines low environmental impact cultivation, blockchain-guaranteed traceability, and compostable packaging.

Through the Clear Rice project, True Rice clearly and verifiably tells the origin of each batch. The agricultural practices adopted respect biodiversity and seriously tackle climate challenges. Unsurprisingly, the company has received important recognition such as the Innovation and Sustainability Award from Golosaria 2023, the Italian Excellence Certification, and inclusion in AGRIcoltura100 for its commitment to virtuous practices.
 

True Rice and its connection to the territory

The rice fields of True Rice extend in an area of the province of Bergamo - we are in Lombardy - characterized by fertile lands and an efficient irrigation system, fed by the waters of Lombard rivers and canals. The area has always been suited for high-quality agricultural cultivation, and the choice of rice is the result of careful assessment of optimal pedoclimatic conditions.

 

The Varieties cultivated by True Rice

True Rice offers different varieties, each with specific characteristics:

  • Carnaroli - Long and firm grain, ideal for creamy and well-mixed risottos.

  • Whole Red - With a rustic and aromatic flavor, perfect for creative and healthy dishes.

  • Whole Black Ebony - Rich in fiber and nutrients, preserving the essence of the grain.

  • Arborio - Versatile, excellent for rice salads and cold preparations.

  • Artiglio - Long, very elongated, crystalline grain, ideal for fish risottos and traditional Asian dishes.


 

True Rice and packaging attention

The quality of the product is measured by several parameters (from the selection of the raw material - the plant in this case), to the type of cultivation, processing, and even packaging.
