The Durona cherry is a delight from the province of Verona and a product recognized for its sweetness and crunchiness. An extraordinary area to the east of the city of Verona in a valley famous for Amarone and the great Extra Virgin Olive Oils. The cherry trees here are centuries-old, and when the plants bloom, the valley is covered in white buds that adorn the intense green of the landscape. The oldest cherry is the Durona, a purplish color and particularly large. Here we have chosen two types of cherries: the more common red and juicy ones measuring less than 26mm and the larger ones with a size greater than 26mm that correspond to the Durona characteristics. Acidity and sweetness, as well as crunchiness and an intense, persistent flavor, are the characteristics of the cherries from these valleys!
