Salami is one of the most common and well-known cured meats of Italian tradition, particularly in Southern Italy. The Giannelli family sausage contains sweet chili pepper which, in addition to having a significant aromatic character, also has a very important preservative value. This sausage contains no preservatives or antioxidants. It is produced with 100% Italian meat from pigs raised in Roccia di Ariano Irpino in the province of Avellino. As a preservative, honey is used which, contrary to popular belief, does not add sweetness but only serves an antibacterial function. To ensure maximum freshness, we have arranged with the producer for direct delivery from the salami factory, so you can reserve the product.
The flavor of the chili sausage is particularly pleasant and balanced, with a final spicy yet round and velvety sensation of the meat on the palate. It’s an excellent sausage to eat plain on bread as an appetizer and to add on Altamura-style toasted bread with slices of buffalo mozzarella PDO. Additionally, it is great for garnishing pizzas and schiacciate.
