The Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG from the Azienda Agricola Marco Mosconi is a high-quality dry red wine, produced with grapes grown in Valpolicella, an area in the province of Verona that includes the municipalities of Fumane, Marano di Valpolicella, Negrar, San Pietro in Cariano and Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella, although other areas are also identified which are not considered "classical", such as Val d'Illasi in this case.
This wine is characterized by a garnet red color and a very intense characteristic aroma.
It has a full, warm and velvety flavor, featuring aromatic notes of ripe fruit, morello cherry jam and raspberries.
Alcohol content: 16% vol.
The Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG from the Azienda Agricola Marco Mosconi is perfect with cold season foods, such as braises, slow-cooked dishes, stews, roasts, but especially with game. However, it also pairs perfectly with cured meats, aged cheeses, and typical dishes of the Veronese tradition such as "pasta e fasoi" and the same risotto with Amarone.
The ideal serving temperature is around 18-20° C, perhaps pouring the wine into a decanter that allows for adequate oxygenation, a procedure that enhances its organoleptic properties. The type of glass recommended for appropriate service is a very large red wine glass that allows for the wine's oxygenation, giving the aromas the chance to release all their intensity.
