The Birra Pagus Schwarzbier from the Birra della Valpolicella brewery is a dark lager.
Its aroma is delicate and intoxicating with notes of roasted and caramelized malts reminiscent of chocolate and cappuccino.
On the palate, you can appreciate the fullness of Carafa malt but with a dry and refreshing finish. The taste then evolves in the mouth, giving way to the flavor of dark chocolate well balanced with traditional German hops.
The caramelized and roasted malts of the Pagus Schwarzbier beer find their exaltation with flavorful and spicy meats. Recommended pairings include roasts, grilled meats, pork, and barbecue.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, hops, yeast
Color: dark red, tending to black (EBC 76)
Foam: abundant cappuccino color
Aroma: hints of cereals, notes of roasted malt reminiscent of sweet coffee, and a slightly herbaceous aroma from traditional hops are appreciated.
Taste: the light and clean taste of bread gives way in the finish to marked hints of caramelized and slightly roasted malts. Light-bodied with a lingering finish.
