The cherry wine is one of the typical products of the Marche region, particularly from Montefeltro. The product, already mentioned by the biographer of Duke Federico II da Montefeltro, is made from the fermentation of visciola cherries with sugar.
Visciola cherries are a very ancient variety of wild sour cherries, characterized by an intense flavor that is not overly sweet, with an intriguing almond aftertaste that creates a pleasant fresh and tart sensation.
The ingredients are placed inside closed containers for controlled temperature fermentation, and then the wine from the previous year is added. The resulting mixture is left to rest for at least four years before proceeding to bottling. This is how the inimitable cherry wine from Podere Casella Muzighin is born!
The cherry wine obtained is clear, consistent, with a deep ruby red color, and has a very intense aroma of visciola cherries in spirits. There are also mineral hints of graphite, chocolate, and dog rose. On the palate, it presents itself as sweet, warm, smooth, with great freshness and good tannins. In the finish, a pleasant hint of Saronno amaretto is perceived.
The name could only remind one of the inspirer and the one who has always produced cherry wine for the family, that is, Serafino Pizzoni. With the addition of the initial article “il Serafino,” it becomes a name that alone evokes the sensations experienced when tasting the product: sensations of warm serenity and pleasantness.
This is the bottle of 250ml.
Alcohol: 13.5% vol.

The Visciole wine from Podere Casella Muzighin is an original beverage that pairs wonderfully with dry pastries, fruit tarts, chocolate-based desserts, and with medium intensity chocolate. However, it can also be paired with a well-aged cheese or simply enjoyed on its own for meditation.
