The Valpolicella Superiore DOC Ferragù 2017 is a wine of temperament and great structure that completely deviates from the usual category wine. It is a wine with a distinct multifaceted personality, boasting a vivid color, nobility, and excellent tannic persistence.
Grape varieties: Corvina, Corvinone, Croatina, Oseleta, Rondinella.
Location: Cellore, a district of Illasi.
Age of the vines: 15 years
Training system: trellis (guyot)
Exposure: east-west; altitude 220 meters above sea level.
Vineyard area: 2.5 ha
Soil type: medium-textured, with the presence of gravel.
Bottles produced per year: 20,000-25,000 bottles
Vinification: light appassimento, controlled temperature fermentation with the inoculation of selected yeasts (saccharomyces cerevisiae).
Aging: 24 months in American oak barrels.
Harvest: October, manual.
Maturation: 6 months in bottle
Color: intense ruby red
Flavor: jam with a spicy note
Palate: soft and persistent

The Valpolicella Superiore DOC Ferragù 2017 is a great red wine that pairs excellently with grilled red meats, braised dishes, roasts, and especially game dishes.
It is also recommended with salamis, aged cheeses, and traditional dishes.
This wine is still aging and will be ready in June 2021. In the meantime, you can taste the Valpolicella Superiore DOC Ferragù 2016, which is the previous vintage.
