The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Classico DOC 2016 from the winery Il Quercetto is a typical grape variety from central Italy, particularly from the regions overlooking the Adriatic Sea, and it produces full-bodied, structured, and intense wines.
Grapes: 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo
Production area: hills of Pollutri (130-300 meters above sea level)
In the vineyard: the use of synthetic chemical products and herbicides is banned, hand harvest in boxes.
In the winery: fermentation in steel and maceration for 20 days, with only temperature control. Only indigenous yeasts are used. It is aged for 12 months in barriques.

The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Classico DOC 2016 from the winery Il Quercetto is an excellent wine for first courses based on game, roasts, and second courses with stewed game and wild game.
Sensory analysis: the fruit takes center stage with aromas of cherry, plum, small red fruits, and cassis; which gives way to the unmistakable minerality, balsamic notes, and spices. On the palate, soft and hard components are well balanced in a fresh, savory, and appropriately tannic vertical drink.
