This cookie is based on a historical recipe used by the Franciscan friars of Laurenzana, including Blessed Egidio, to offer nourishment to the faithful passing through their convent. The creation of this product has been the result of extensive research and studies in collaboration with the diocese of Acerenza and the University of Basilicata, and the product was officially presented during the fifth centenary of the death of the religious, who is also the protector of the village of Laurenzana.
