Color: Intense red.

Serving temperature: Acclimate to room temperature (18°C), if possible, open 20 minutes before serving.
Red vinification with prolonged maceration on the skins. Alcoholic fermentation at a constant temperature of 21°C with frequent pump-overs and daily aeration of the fermenting mass. After racking, malolactic fermentation is allowed to occur spontaneously. This is followed by several months of aging with periodic stirrings to disperse the lees deposited at the bottom of the tanks. After bottling, the wine is aged for a few months before being marketed.
The Merlot DOC Friuli is suitable for red meat dishes, roasts, poultry, rabbit, and hard cheeses.
