Parmigiano Reggiano PDO 21 months 300g

La Casara offers us a high-quality Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, aged for 21 months. It is the version most tied to the Emilia Romagna region, made with cow's milk from cows that have been raised only on hay without the use of feed. A very precious and refined product in its scents and aromas.

Considered the "King of Cheeses", it is still produced today as it was eight centuries ago using a natural artisanal method, and it is one of the few remaining foods that are obtained in a completely natural way, without any additives: just milk, rennet, and a little salt.
 

DOP Guarantee


Its production is regulated and controlled by law by the Consortium for the Protection of Parmigiano Reggiano. The use of raw milk, the exclusion of additives, the employment of natural lactic ferments, and aging for at least 12 months are the fundamental elements for recognition of the D.O.P. (Protected Designation of Origin recognized by the European Union).

Parmigiano Reggiano PDO 21 months 300g: use in the kitchen

The 21-month-aged Parmigiano Reggiano DOP in a 300g portion is ideal for large events and ceremonies. Unbeatable when grated as a seasoning for pasta, rice, and soups, even the rind can be added during the cooking of minestrone and vegetable creams; exceptional in thin petals on fish or meat carpaccio, or on roast beef, with arugula and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.

Great eaten alone or paired with dried fruits, nuts, hazelnuts, dried figs, dried plums, and honey. To delight the most refined palates, it is extraordinary with balsamic vinegar.
