Garnet Spirits was founded in 2022 in Puglia without too many words: the partners wanted to create something that truly represented them and that represented the territory they love so much and the identity devotion with which they live it. A project born among friends, partly out of passion and partly out of curiosity, with the idea of shaping a different Gin, one that had a soul and with the goal of becoming a point of reference in the world of contemporary artisanal distillates.
The Garnet: the precious stone that inspires
The name Garnet comes from the garnet (from the Latin malum granatum "fruit of the pomegranate", symbol of southern Italy), the precious stone that inspired them for its resemblance to the seeds of this fruit. Each variety of this mineral has a different color that ranges from red to green, yellow, and orange, and also a different character, just like their products. Almandino Gin was the first creation of Garnet Spirits: a fragrant, elegant but easy-to-drink Compound Gin. Then came Spessartina, the Bitter that unites, created to be enjoyed both neat and in cocktails.
What’s behind it
Behind Garnet Spirits, there are no big strategies or vague words, there is only the desire to do good things and do them well. It’s nice to think that each bottle tells a piece of these guys: simple, well-crafted, and with a clear identity, it reveals a constant dialogue between innovation and roots. Garnet Spirits is a sincere project, made by those who love what they do and want to do it with taste but with a precise mission: to create a line of distillates inspired by the pomegranate, the fruit symbol of southern Italy.
