L&' Azienda Agricola Il Poggio was founded in 1987 thanks to &' love for the most rural and true Tuscany of the Gori Bartolini family of San Casciano dei Bagni in the province of Siena. A beautiful farmhouse that rises on a real hill between the Val di Chiana and the Val d&' Orcia. This is a reality that over the years has considerably diversified its offer: quality hospitality, horseback riding at the Poggio, catering and processing of typical Tuscan products that strongly identify: legumes, cereals, black and Cinta Senese pork, local vegetables, organic oil and typical local recipes.

The Il Poggio farm has about 100 hectares on which organic crops of: cereals, fodder, forest, vineyard, olive grove, aromatic herbs and table vegetables live. Among the excellences produced: Terre di Siena DOP Oil, Rosso del Poggio Igt Toscano Bio, Poggio Corno Rosso Orcia Doc Bio and Bianco del Poggio. On the west side, in the town of Le Buche, the Cinta Senese is raised in the wild. In Cantano, the heart of the company, there is an organic chicken farm and the laboratory for the transformation of agricultural products and the Cinta Senese. From organic cultivation, spelt is important for its high nutritional value; the cold cuts and the many other products prepared for the table with the girdle and the pork are delicious. Aromatic herbs and vegetables are used by chef Massimo in the restaurant and laboratory to flavor many cold cuts and cooked dishes.
