The Ocone winery is a historic production reality in the Sannio Beneventano area, active for over a century. It was indeed founded in 1910 by Giuseppe Ocone and quickly achieved great success in the territory. Today it owns 10 hectares of vineyard and also sources grapes from a small network of historical and trusted suppliers, totaling over 25 hectares. Ocone has a young and enterprising team, united by a great passion for quality enology and eager to enhance the territory, operating in great synergy with competence and professionalism.


Ocone Wines: Territoriality and Ancient Traditions

Since 1910, the Ocone winery has been producing wines at the foot of Mount Taburno, in the municipality of Ponte, where the hilly terrain reaches 400 meters in altitude, the soils are rich in clay and limestone, and the climate is temperate, influenced by the flow of the Calore River. 
Here, as in the days of the Ancient Romans, the indigenous varieties cultivated by the local populations find their place: Aglianico, Piedirosso, Coda di Volpe, Greco, Fiano, and Falanghina.

The names of the produced labels, which recall place names and names of Roman and Greek deities, assert the strong connection to the ancient traditions of the territory. Respect for the history and characteristics of Sannio is realized in the choice of a respectful and sustainable viticulture, in line with the principles of organic farming.

Ocone wines are historic representatives of a terroir with an ancient winemaking tradition, extraordinarily suited, which still has much to tell. The commitment and century-old expertise of the winery are reflected in a brilliant production of high territorial specificity white and red wines, born from the union of respect for history and modern, efficient technologies. The winemaking traditions of Sannio find interpreters in this world who manage to present them with fidelity and authority.

In 2018, the Ocone brand, along with the activities and facilities of the winery, was acquired by the company “Euvitis 21. Agriculture, Territory, and Development”. Already in the company name, the new ownership emphasizes the field choice underlying the entrepreneurial initiative: to develop, in a modern and dynamic way, a productive reality of enormous potential, respecting a strongly recognizable territorial identity.
It is with this ambitious goal that the Euvitis 21 team confronts itself every day, bringing together diverse experiences and expertise that combine the wisdom of traditional winemaking with knowledge of modern techniques and technologies. A multifaceted knowledge that encompasses the entire supply chain, from cultivation to winemaking and aging, from marketing to commercialization through both traditional and more innovative channels.
