The Tramin Winery is one of the most important cooperatives in South Tyrol, a region that best combines tradition and quality, for a line of wines that represents total excellence.
Cantina Tramin is the reality of a dream that does not fade with the morning light, but is renewed every day in the winery's natural propensity for the new, the future and what will come.
The Tramin Winery has its roots in the 19th century: it was founded in 1898 by Christian Schrott, pastor of Termeno, who decided to create this form of business together with some winemakers in the area. Thanks to the strength of this union, Cantina Tramin has become over time one of the most established cooperatives in the region and a recognized example in the world. And it is precisely sharing, the soul of Cantina Tramin's oenological project, which embraces 300 small owners who cultivate an area of 260 hectares extensively, with great respect, the utmost care and in close contact with Willi Stürz, in the company since 1995 and elected the best oenologist in Italy in 2004.
The Tramin Winery is based on the collaboration of 160 families who work together to reveal the wonder of the local scents at every taste. The territory surrounding Termeno and Lake Caldaro is a wonderful territory that, with its particular microclimate, helps to create wines with a strong varietal character, with a personality that is always clear and bright.
To date, Cantina Tramin produces an average of 1.9 million bottles a year, 70% destined for the domestic market, and the remaining 30% for the foreign market.
Cantina Tramin knows how to express in its wines all the typical characteristics of nature and the multisensory suggestions of this territory through creative and productive precision always aimed at the highest quality levels, thanks to a culture of cooperation that represents a happy example of wise and loving management of the land, a continuous virtuous interaction between vineyard and cellar.
The quality of the wines signed by Cantina Tramin is due to the climatic influence of the territory which, thanks to the strong temperature ranges, guarantees an elegance of the flavors and the structure of the wines. In addition, the high minerality of the soil makes white wines fresh, agile and pleasant to drink.
The wines of Cantina Tramin are the synthesis of harmonies of scents that are born in the heart of South Tyrol.
They are an oenological project capable of expressing the elegance and incomparable scents of a unique terroir and of transmitting the local peasant experience and culture, which has always been intimately linked to mountains, nature and its rhythms.
The Tramin Winery offers a line of labels that satisfy all palates: Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer, Schiava, Pinot Noir, Lagrein, Moscato Rosa and Moscato Giallo, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Merlot, and finally Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Müller Thurgau.
