Azienda Agricola Ca' Viola: scopri i prodotti

The Azienda Agricola Ca' Viola represents a reality that reflects the concept of territory in its finest and noblest expression through its excellent wines.

Azienda Agricola Ca' Viola: from dream to success

The Azienda Agricola Ca' Viola was founded out of passion by winemaker Beppe Caviola in 1991 in his native Montelupo Albese, a small town in the Langhe, starting from a small rented Dolcetto vineyard. In this place, called Barturot, Beppe Caviola along with his reliable partner Maurizio, vinify the grapes in the garage of his parents' house: here lies the origin of a great success story in winemaking.

One day Elio Altare, already an established star in the Barolo galaxy, tasted that wine and encouraged Beppe to bottle it. Thus, 860 bottles of Dolcetto were released. The first label signed Ca' Viola.

In Montelupo, Ca' Viola also manages a small plot of Barbera and decides to vinify it, bringing to light the famous wine "Bric du Luv", which over the years will first become Langhe Rosso, and finally Barbera d'Alba, summarizing the evolution taking place under the sky of the Langa.

In 2002, the Ca' Viola winery moved to Dogliani in a large 19th-century villa, Villa Bracco, where production, consulting, and tourist hospitality can coexist harmoniously, united by the same philosophy of simplicity and excellence.

Since 2005, Ca' Viola, along with brother-in-law Giancarlo Vivalda, has been managing a Nebbiolo vineyard, giving rise to Barolo DOCG Sottocastello di Novello, a red of great quality, energetic, austere, and enchanting, capable of providing a rare pleasure when tasted. A year later, in 2006, the first label of the "King of wines" saw the light.

Today, the Azienda Agricola Ca' Viola produces, alongside the historic labels of Barbera and Dolcetto, also a Barolo, which Beppe Caviola defines as "the culmination of a journey", currently boasting 14 hectares of vineyards, divided between Montelupo and Novello.

Wines Ca' Viola: jewels of the Langhe

The wines of the Ca' Viola winery are true jewels of the Langhe, born from the passion and expertise of Beppe Caviola, who within a few years transformed from a young winemaker into a renowned producer.

Dolcetto, Barbera, and Barolo: they are the magnificent fruit of grapes and time, with minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar.

The vines of Montelupo are over 40 years old and are rooted in impressive slopes, on soil similar to that of Serralunga. The town of Montelupo inspires the logo and name of the famous wine Bric du Luv.

The vineyard of Novello is located in the small cru of Sottocastello, at an altitude of 470 meters, cultivated with Nebbiolo.

The wines signed by Ca' Viola express the concept of territory in its highest and noblest expression. They are excellent Barbera DOC and Barolo DOC: wines recognized and awarded also with the Awards from The Wine Hunter.
