The Ca' Viola Farm is a reality that reflects in its excellent wines the concept of territory in its highest and most noble expression.
The Azienda Agricola Ca&' Viola was founded out of passion by &' oenologist Beppe Caviola in 1991 in his native Montelupo Albese, a small town in the Langhe, starting from a small Dolcetto vineyard rented. In this reality, called Barturot, Beppe Caviola, together with his trusty Maurizio, vinify the grapes in the garage of his parents' house: this is the origin of a very successful wine story. #39
One day Elio Altare, already established star of the Barolo galaxy, tastes that wine and encourages Beppe to bottle it. This is how 860 bottles of Dolcetto come out. The first label signed by Ca' viola.
In Montelupo Ca&' Viola also manages a small plot of Barbera and decides to vinify it, bringing to light the famous wine “Bric du Luv”, which became in the years first Langhe Rosso, and finally Barbera d&' Alba, summarizing the evolution that is taking place under the sky of the Langa.
In 2002, the Ca' Viola winery moved to Dogliani to a large 19th century villa, Villa Bracco, where production, consultancy and tourist reception can coexist in harmony, united by the same philosophy of simplicity and &' excellence. #39
Since 2005, together with his brother-in-law Giancarlo Vivalda, Ca' Vivalda, has been running a Nebbiolo vineyard, giving life to Barolo DOCG SottoCastello di Novello, a high quality red wine, energetic, austere and bewitching, able to give a rare pleasure to the taste. #39 A year later, in 2006, the first label of the “King of Wines” saw the light of day.
Today, Azienda Agricola Ca&' Viola produces, alongside the historic Barbera and Dolcetto labels, also a Barolo, which Beppe Caviola defines as “the culmination of a journey”, currently counting 14 hectares of vineyards, divided between Montelupo and Novello
The wines of the Ca&' Viola winery are real jewels of the Langhe, born from the passion and expertise of Beppe Caviola, who became in a few years, from a young oenologist, to a renowned producer.
Dolcetto, Barbera and Barolo: these are the magnificent fruit of &' grapes and time, with few interventions in the vineyard and in the cellar.
The vines of Montelupo reach up to 40 years of age and are rooted on impressive slopes, on a terrain similar to that of Serralunga. The town of Montelupo inspires the logo and name of the famous Bric du Luv wine.
The Novello vineyard is located in the small cru of SottoCastello, 470 meters above sea level, cultivated with Nebbiolo.
The wines signed by Ca' Viola express the concept of territory in its highest and most noble expression.
