Mila Vuolo is an organic farm in Campania that focuses its production on quality Aglianico and Fiano wines, a great expression and territorial identity.
The story of the Mila Vuolo winery began in 2002, when Mila abandoned her IT job in Rome to dedicate herself completely to her father's farm: thirteen hectares of olive trees, vines, hazel trees and many other trees that surround an old country house on the hills of Giovi, just outside the city of Salerno.
The key word for this adventure is: passion, a word that at the same time identifies the toponym of the small town where the winery is located, the ancient wine that was produced on the hills of Salerno and the strong motivation that led Mila to abandon the bustle of the city to dedicate herself to agriculture.
The Mila Vuolo winery is a reference point for wine in the hilly territory of Salerno, author of Fiano and Aglianico with a strong territorial identity.
His name is well known locally and is closely linked to the feeling of an oenological renaissance in Salerno but, outside regional borders, his small production has until now remained a niche, the preserve of a few lucky enthusiasts.
Starting in 2000, the international vines that made up the small vineyard of almost 4 hectares were planted, replaced with Fiano and Aglianico vines, and, within a few years, a production of about 100 hectolitres was created, accompanied by extra virgin olive oil and Giffoni
quality organic hazelnuts.
Mila Vuolo wines are considered the standard bearers of the oenological recovery of an ancient and very suitable territory but which, in recent years, was struggling to find new and convincing interpreters.
Mila Vuolo wines benefit from hilly clay soils, good temperature ranges, the humid winds of the Gulf of Salerno and the cooler breezes of the nearby Picentini Mountains. This is how Mediterranean expressions and characteristics are born, able to enhance a great Campania terroir.
Recovering ancient family traditions, Mila Vuolo has done her best to carry out an innovative project focused on the clayey hills of the Salerno countryside.
Courage and resourcefulness characterize the winery, which, with the help and valuable advice of the oenologist and agronomist Guido Busatto, has brought to light the main wines produced by the company: Fiano and Aglianico.
The Mila Vuolo Winery, thanks to its meticulous and attentive work, offers you excellent Fiano and Aglianico Colli di Salerno IGT: wines recognized and awarded also with The Wine Hunter Awards.
