In the heart of Épernay, the historic capital of Champagne, the Maison Bauget-Jouette preserves a family tradition that has its roots in 1822. For five generations, the Bauget family has passionately and rigorously upheld the art of Champagne, aiming to express in every cuvée the authenticity of the territory.
Bauget-Jouette: company, grape varieties, and production philosophy
The company cultivates about 13 hectares of vineyards spread across some of the most prestigious areas of the appellation including Côte des Blancs, Vallée de la Marne, and the slopes of Épernay, a mosaic of terroir that allows for the creation of elegant and harmonious blends. The vines are dedicated to the three classic grape varieties of Champagne: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, balanced to achieve wines of great finesse and drinkability.
The production philosophy of the house combines respect for tradition with contemporary sensitivity: from careful vineyard management to vinification in the historic cellars carved into the chalk in Épernay, where the Champagnes mature slowly, acquiring complexity, elegance, and aromatic depth.
The Bauget-Jouette Champagnes stand out for a refined and precise style, capable of combining freshness, balance, and gastronomic character. An independent reality that, far from large industrial numbers, continues to enhance artisanal work and the personality of its own terroir.
