L&' company was founded in 1987 by the couple Rachel Kimmich and Marcello Pirisi. In fact, they buy an abandoned 45-hectare farm on the sunny hills of the Maremma between the municipalities of Grosseto and Scansano.
With a lot of effort but also a lot of passion, they transformed it into the beautiful company that is today where they live with their three children: Ivan, Michele and Andrea. All the work, from the vineyard to the cellar, is personally supervised by the members of the family. The vineyards cover an area of 12 hectares that are cultivated with the varieties of Sangiovese and Syrah. Marcello Pirisi, together with his son Andrea, is responsible for the production of wine. The grapes are harvested manually, carefully selected and processed in their cellar. The result is excellent quality wines. Rachel is l&' artist who gives an impression with her style and passion to the products of the Podere Casina company, personally taking care of the image.
