Dried Sicilian Rosemary 30g

The Sicilian Rosemary dried from the Azienda Agricola Due Palmenti encapsulates all the fragrance of Sicily, the most authentic one!

The name rosemary comes from the union of two Greek words: "rops," which means shrub, and "myrinos," which means fragrant. However, according to some, it may derive from Latin, with two alternatives: from "rosmarinus," meaning sea dew, or from "rosa maris," rose of the sea, because it originally grew spontaneously along the coasts.

Rosemary is a highly branched and bushy shrub. It has numerous evergreen leaves, small, narrow, linear in shape, and dark green on the upper side and silver on the underside. The flowers, gathered in axillary clusters, are blue-violet in color. The blooming lasts all year round. The plant can exceed 150 cm in height. It is a typical plant of the Mediterranean scrub. It grows spontaneously in sandy and arid soils from coastal areas up to 800 m.

One of the many typical products of beautiful Sicily that Due Palmenti has decided to enhance by bringing it to the attention of the general public.

Sicilian Rosemary: How It Is Produced

To produce the Sicilian rosemary, the leaves are harvested in a period that runs from spring until July. The twigs are left to dry in the shade, in warm, dry, and well-ventilated places, or in a drying room, in order to maintain the aroma intact and thus prolong its shelf life.

The Sicilian rosemary from Due Palmenti is cultivated according to the principles of a form of sustainable agriculture that respects the environment through the use of organic fertilizers and the absence of synthetic chemical products.

All phases are carried out by hand, from transplanting to weeding, to harvesting, drying, and packaging, thus imparting a strong territorial character to the product itself.

The Sicilian rosemary comes in a convenient bag containing 30g of product.

Shelf life: 24 months from packaging

Storage: store in a cool, dry place away from sources of light and heat.
