The green beans we present come from organic farms in the province of Cagliari, in Sardinia. Very fertile land above 500 meters in height, windy summers, and traditional farming techniques allow for the production of this genuine and unmistakable product.
These Sardinian beans are an extremely fresh product, rich in flavor and purifying properties for our bodies: they contain large amounts of vitamins A and C, minerals such as potassium, iron, and phosphorus. Furthermore, they are high in calcium and silicon and have remarkable antioxidant properties that help our bodies eliminate free radicals. Additionally, flavonoids protect us from inflammation and aid blood circulation.
The BIO Green Beans from Cagliari (which we present here in a quantity of 5kg) must be cooked, as they contain phaseolin, a protein that can be toxic if not broken down through cooking. It is advisable to use steaming to preserve the vegetable's organoleptic properties. They are excellent as an ingredient for trofie with green beans, potatoes, and Ligurian pesto; or to prepare a light lasagna with vegetarian béchamel.
