The capsule coffee Panama Patrón 1911 by Coffee Hat is an exclusive arabica with a enveloping and well-balanced body.
This coffee is naturally grown at about 1700 meters above sea level at Finca Lerida, Boquete, in the State of Panama, a charming place near the Baru volcano and known for its "Eternal Spring" climate. Once harvested, it undergoes a process called "washed," meaning the beans are wash and naturally sun-dried. Subsequently, a medium-dark roasting is carried out.
Tollef Mönniche, nicknamed "El Patrón," was a Norwegian engineer who designed the locks of the Panama Canal. In 1911, he founded Finca Lerida in Boquete, near the border with Costa Rica. There, he retired, building a house with his own hands and using only the wood from an old 600-year-old tree. El Patrón patented a siphon to separate mature coffee berries from the rest of the harvest, a system still in use in much of Latin America. Finca Lerida has recently won numerous international awards including "Best Coffee in the World" according to the American Specialty Coffee Association (SCAA).
The Panama Patrón 1911 capsule coffee from Coffee Hat (which we present to you on this page in an elegant package of 100 Nespresso compatible capsules) offers an enveloping taste and flavor that enhances your work break or, why not, your breakfast. With its hints of ripe cherry, notes of hazelnut, and a chocolate finish, it is also excellent to enjoy at the end of a meal.
