The Saffron in Stigmas from Safranum is a carefully selected premium spice, harvested in Monforte d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, and processed entirely by hand to maintain its purity.

Safranum saffron is harvested and sorted with a double control process in order to carefully select both the stigmas and the flowers; this is done to satisfy even the most demanding chefs during processing.
Dried for a long time and at low temperatures to avoid thermal shock, it can thus last up to 3 years thanks to its very low residual humidity.

The name saffron derives from the Latin safranum, which in turn comes from the Arabic za’faran, meaning golden yellow, light, revealed wisdom.
