Chianti Rufina DOCG Villa di Vetrice 750ml

The Chianti Rufina DOCG from Villa di Vetrice is a premium red wine, produced with grapes cultivated in the heights of Rufina, a small municipality in the province of Florence, nestled right in the heart of Chianti, a hilly area of Tuscany that extends between the provinces of Florence, Siena, and Arezzo, known worldwide for its winemaking activities.

Historically, the territory of Chianti DOCG, or the old League of Chianti, included the municipalities of Gaiole, Radda, and Castellina. This was then transformed into the Province of Chianti, which currently also includes the province of Siena. With the establishment of the "Chianti wine zone" in 1932, beyond the area of Chianti Classico, the true Chianti, other areas of the current province of Florence are also considered, thus configuring a much larger geographical area compared to the past.

This wine is characterized by a ruby red color tending towards garnet. The aroma is intense and persistent, marked by a pleasant fruity note of cherries and plums. The taste is dry and has a well-balanced tannic note that gives this wine its characteristic roundness.

Alcohol content: 12.5% vol.

Chianti Rufina DOCG Villa di Vetrice 750ml: use in the kitchen

The Chianti Rufina DOCG from Villa di Vetrice is ideal for pairing with roasts and dishes prepared with tomato sauce.

However, it also perfectly complements Parmigiano Reggiano and aged cheeses in general.

The ideal serving temperature is about 18°C, and the recommended type of glass is a tall and wide red wine glass which, by allowing the wine to oxygenate, gives the aromas the chance to release their full intensity.
