The Borgo di Peuma from Cantine Russolo is a high quality red wine, produced with extraordinary grapes harvested from the Ronco Calaj vineyard, located in the wide flat area of San Quirino, a small town in the province of Pordenone in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Ronco Calaj is in fact the first and also the largest vineyard of this producer.
This wine is characterized by a deep red color with purple hues. The aroma recalls the typical scent of ripe berries; its bouquet then evolves, enriched with nuances of vanilla, liquorice, and spices. The flavor, on the other hand, is full and velvety, presenting an excellent tannic structure that never makes it aggressive on the palate, even though it is a young wine.
Alcohol content: 12.5-13% vol.
The Borgo di Peuma from Cantine Russolo is ideal for pairing with both white meats and red meats. It is also really excellent with aged cheeses. The ideal serving temperature is about 18-20° C, and the recommended type of glass is a large bowl glass with a tapered mouth.
