The dried borlotti beans from Azienda Agricola Cleopatra are dried legumes grown naturally, without the use of chemicals, processed entirely by hand, and respecting the rhythms of the seasons.
The borlotti beans are legumes with a beige or pinkish color, featuring dark brown or reddish spots and streaks. Borlotti beans are virtually fat-free and cholesterol-free, and they are naturally rich in plant proteins, fibers, minerals (especially calcium, iron, potassium, and phosphorus), and vitamins (particularly B, A, C, and E).
The dried borlotti beans from Sardinia from the Azienda Agricola Cleopatra are excellent for preparing appetizers, minestrones, soups, pasta and beans, salads, side dishes, and main courses such as sausage and beans or meatballs.
Before cooking, it is recommended to subject them to rehydration, soaking them in lukewarm water for about 6 hours.
