Dried chamomile in a 20g jar

The dried chamomile from the Azienda Agricola Cleopatra is a product dried under the sun of Sardinia using organic and natural methods, without the use of chemical substances and completely handmade.

Chamomile: Characteristics

Chamomile is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the Asteraceae family and the Matricaria genus. It has an unmistakable pleasant aromatic scent mainly due to its small white and yellow flowers that contain a rich essence of azulene, salicylic acid, oleic acid, stearic acid, and alpha-bisabolol.

Chamomile has antispasmodic properties, helping with muscle relaxation and promoting sleep; it is an excellent anti-inflammatory due to its high doses of mucilage; it has antipyretic properties because it lowers fever; it also has antibacterial, antifungal, analgesic, and antioxidant properties, thanks to its richness in flavonoids.

Dried chamomile in a 20g jar: use in the kitchen

The dried chamomile from the Azienda Agricola Cleopatra can be used for infusions as well as to enhance delicious culinary recipes. With chamomile flowers, you can prepare risottos, fish salads, soft cakes for breakfast, sweet creams and biscuits. Additionally, they are great for flavoring jams, ice creams, and liqueurs

To prepare an aromatic infusion, use one teaspoon of dried flowers in a covered cup of boiling water (250 ml): for internal use, let it steep for no more than 6 minutes, as exceeding this time will have the opposite effect. For poultices and washes, however, there is no time limit.

Store in its original jar in a dark, cool, and dry place.
The indicative shelf life is 2 years from the packaging date.
