It is perhaps one of the most famous and well-known Italian cheeses worldwide and, likely, also the most imitated.
The Parmigiano Reggiano, however, is and will always be one, produced in compliance with the Disciplinare della Denominazione d’Origine Protetta and protected by the work of the Consorzio del Parmigiano-Reggiano since 1934.
