Over the years, Maculan has distinguished itself for the distinctive character of its wines and today we present this Merlot produced in Veneto.
A harvest done naturally and manually with careful selection of the grape clusters, slight over-ripening, and fermentation in small stainless steel tanks with frequent pump-overs during the eight days of maceration.
The aging takes place for one year in new barriques and subsequently in bottles for six months.
The family Maculan has been selecting and vinifying the best grapes of Breganze for three generations, an enchanting town at the foot of the Asiago Plateau with a mild climate that favors the cultivation of vines and olives... Go to the sheet for Maculan.
Alcohol percentage: 14.5%
Excellent pairing with dishes based on game, grilled meat, braised dishes, and aged cheeses.
From the ruby red, bright and impenetrable appearance. With an aromatic baggage articulated and intense on floral notes of iris and rose, followed by passion fruit, candied orange peel, cherry in alcohol, interspersed with a spicy hint of cardamom and cinnamon along with toasting notes of coffee, walnut husk, chocolate, and graphite.
Balanced and enveloping on the palate with silky tannins; all components are persistent, leaving a pleasant final memory. An elegant and complete expression of the territory, a wine still in the making, with great potential. Skillful use of barrique.
A must-have in every enthusiast's cellar!
