The Le Cappelle Rosso di Toscana IGT by Poggio al Chiuso is a complex, full-bodied wine with an intense ruby red color. It is named this way because it is produced with grapes from the podere Le Cappelle of the Corti family, a plot of about 2 hectares with sandy-loam-clay soil at an altitude of about 380 meters above sea level.
First produced in 1990, it comes from a careful selection of the best grapes from the winery.
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in cement tanks with about three weeks of skin contact, three pump-overs a day, and two delestages. It matures partly in 225-liter oak barrels and partly in cement tanks where it completes malolactic fermentation. It remains in wood and in cement tanks for at least 12 months, then refining in the bottle for at least 9 months.
Aging potential: 8-10 years.
On the nose, intense aromas of ripe fruit and preserves are combined with pleasant spiciness. On the palate, it is warm, soft, and persistent with good savoriness.

The Le Cappelle Rosso di Toscana IGT from Poggio al Chiuso is a full-bodied, structured wine, pleasantly alcoholic with its 14.5 degrees. Ideal for a romantic dinner or a special occasion, it is a wine that is easy to admire and fondly remember. Given its lively presence, a decantation of 30 minutes is always recommended. The most special pairings are with meat, cheeses, and game. We recommend it paired with aged cheese or a meat-based pasta dish.
