The Costa Toscana IGT Prima Pietra 2017 is the only great wine from Tenuta Prima Pietra, a winery located in Riparbella, on the Tuscan coast. A supertuscan born from the great potential of its territory, it is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
Costa Toscana IGT Prima Pietra 2017 is Elegance and Balance, but also with excellent Longevity. It is a complex and rich wine, with a splendid equilibrium.
Varietal: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot
Harvest period: Started on September 6 with Merlot, finished on September 26 with Cabernet
Soil: Rich in skeleton and iron clays
Altitude: 450 meters above sea level
Winemaking: 20 days in steel and truncated-conical cement tanks, 28°C, separately for each varietal
Aging: 18 months maturation in new French oak barriques for 50%. For the first 10 months, each varietal ages individually, then the blend is created, which will continue aging for another 8 months

The Tuscan Coast IGT Prima Pietra 2017 is a wine that, thanks to its extraordinary aromatic mineral component, pairs perfectly with meats and game. Excellent, for example, with roasted pigeon and fluffy potato puree.

Olfactory sensations: broad and persistent aroma, with crunchy and deep fragrances of red berries, refreshed by a pleasant balsamic finish
Taste: refined, elegant, and complex, silky on the palate with great persistence. Velvety, structured, and balanced tannins.
