The Nero di Sei Etna Rosso BIO DOC 2016 from the winery Palmento Costanzo is an organic red wine that comes from bush-trained vineyards in Santo Spirito and Passopisciaro, on the northern slope of Etna. It is a wine with a complex yet fine bouquet, structured and enveloping, to be enjoyed until the last sip.
Grapes: nerello mascalese 80%, nerello cappuccio 20%
Vineyard: 750 m above sea level, with a soil of black and brown volcanic sands 60-70%; stones and eruptive rocks.
Harvest: manual, second decade of October
Winemaking: fermentation in oak truncated-conical tanks with selected indigenous yeasts. Malolactic fermentation fully completed.
Aging: 24 months in large oak barrels and 12 months in bottle.
Alcohol content: 13.5 % vol.
