Ruber Veneto Classico IGT 2015 by Jako Wine is a harmonious and robust red wine, ideal as an accompaniment to noble foods.
Grape Varieties: Corvina, Merlot
Terroir: the soil, of morainic type, extends to the south of Lake Garda. The grapes used to produce this wine are cultivated with a guyot system in pergoletta trentina, with an average yield of 3.5 kg per plant.
Harvest Time: between the end of September and the early part of October.
The harvest is done by hand. The most mature and perfectly healthy clusters are carefully selected. The grapes are dried in fruit storage at natural temperatures and humidity conditions for about 3 months, depending on the climatic conditions. The dried grapes are destemmed and softly pressed. The pressed grapes are inoculated with selected yeasts in stainless steel containers.
The fermentation proceeds slowly at low temperature in order to effectively extract the color, tannins, and aromas from the skin. Part of the wine then matures under yeasts in steel tanks, while another part is aged in barriques.
Total acidity: 6.5 g/l.
Longevity: 6-8 years
Alcohol content: 16% vol.
Ruber Veneto Classico IGT 2015 by Jako Wine has a robust structure that pairs well with the most refined dishes and nobler foods, such as game and braised meats. Its strong yet refined character makes it worthy of savoring on its own as a meditation wine.
It is served at a temperature of 18°.
The color is ruby red. The aroma presents a wide range of notes, initially suggesting blackberry jam and cherries in spirits, and later alluding to notes of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon. The taste is harmonious, enveloping, and smooth.
This vintage is finished, but you can taste the 2016 vintage.
