The Vernaccia San Gimignano DOCG Riserva 2015 by Panizzi is excellent when paired with baked fish, white meats, dishes with delicate sauces, aged cheeses, and creamy blue cheeses.
Serving temperature of 13-14° C.
Straw yellow color, bright with a greenish hue leaning towards ancient gold.
The aroma is broad, aristocratic, very varied in a balanced initial mixture of broom flowers and walnut husk, grapefruit and melon, fading into vanilla notes harmonized with the mineral scents of flint.
On the palate, it presents itself as a wine of character, concentrated, savory, perfectly balanced, with a finish enlivened by a strong acidic backbone. Complex, mineral, it has a long persistence with an aftertaste in which ripe fruit notes emerge.
It keeps optimally for 10 years or more provided that the bottle is treated properly, that is, at a more or less constant temperature, away from heat sources and direct light.
