The Vino Rosso Taurasi Docg Donnachiara is an intense ruby red wine from the 2016 vintage, made from 100% Aglianico grapes. On the nose, it offers intense fruity notes of currants, blackberry jam, plums, and toasted aromas and violets. On the palate, it is warm, soft, velvety, with a good concentration of elegant tannins and an extremely long persistence.
To obtain this Taurasi DOCG, even today, the grapes are hand-picked and selected. After the gentle pressing of the grapes, the must is immediately sent to alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, following 15 days of maceration on the skins. The malolactic fermentation, which leads the wine to maturation, takes place entirely in barriques.
A wine of great structure, we recommend it to accompany red meats, braised dishes, game, aged cheeses, and for meditation.
