€ 16,99 for 750ml
The "Luigi Ghislieri" Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Brut Metodo Classico BIO DOC by Colonnara is a sparkling wine dedicated to the president who in 1970 gave a strong push to the sparkling production of Verdicchio in Colonnara: a charismatic, determined, and strong-willed man. A noble and bold sparkling wine at the same time, a cuvée aged 24-30 months on the lees, which enhances the freshness of Verdicchio.
Grape variety: Verdicchio (native)
Training system: Double inverted, Silvoz, and Guyot
Type: Sparkling wine fermented in the bottle according to the traditional method
Production area: Hilly (500/600 m above sea level) in the municipalities of Cupramontana and Apiro (Marche Region)
Soil: Marine origin, medium-textured, with high peaks of clay and sand.
Processing: The bottle aging takes place in the cellar. All processing phases (Riddling, Disgorging) are carried out manually. The stay on the lees is not less than 30 months from the fermentation. The disgorgement date is indicated on the label.
Alcohol content: 12.5% vol.
The Luigi Ghislieri Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Brut Metodo Classico BIO DOC by Colonnara is an all-meal wine, pairing beautifully with fish and meat appetizers, raw and cooked cured meats, first courses with fish sauce or shellfish, mixed Italian-style fried foods, boiled, sauced, or baked fish. Ideal with all types of shellfish.
Color: bright straw yellow, shimmering with very fine, persistent, and numerous bubbles.
Aroma: fairly intense, elegant, and typical. Notes of bread crust, ripe and dried fruit reminiscent of hazelnuts and toasted almonds emerge.
Taste: dry, warm, fairly soft, fresh with good sapidity, full-bodied, balanced. Long flavor-olfactory persistence that reaffirms the elegant notes perceived through smell.
Serving temperature: 8-10°C
