The Barolo Bricco San Biagio DOCG 2016 by Grimaldi is a wine from a vineyard in the municipality of La Morra, a historic cru of the Barolo denomination. The soils, composed of white and blue marls, are looser and sandier compared to other areas, resulting in a ready Barolo of medium structure, very smooth and fragrant.
Vineyards: 100% Nebbiolo.
Production area: vineyard within the Bricco San Biagio cru in the municipality of La Morra.
Soil: white calcareous marls and blue tuff.
Harvest period: third week of October.
Vinification: in fermentation tanks with maceration for about 8-10 days with temperature control; traditional aging in large oak barrels for at least 2 years and part in 225 lt. French oak barriques. Followed by bottle aging.
Vintage: 2016
Alcohol percentage: 14.5% vol.

Perfume: ethereal and intense with notes of wilted rose and violet, finishing with hints of ripe fruit and spices.
Taste: dry, fine, elegant, and velvety, with good structure and soft, pleasant tannins, suitable for long aging.
