The Bella Lodi Riserva Oro from the dairy Bella Lodi is an incredible lactose-free cheese! Typical of the Lodi area, it has a white paste, an intense aroma, and a delicious taste that everyone will love. And I mean everyone, also thanks to its high digestibility.
The Riserva Oro is the Bella Lodi aged for a minimum of 24 months after careful selection of the best wheels. Unlike the classic version with a black rind, this important cheese has a golden rind to emphasize its prestige and value. It is drier, crumblier, and grainier, with a stronger flavor that is still pleasant.
Bella Lodi is naturally lactose-free. Thanks to the careful selection of lactic ferments used in its production (a unique selection by the company in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture of the Catholic University of Milan), during the fermentation and aging process, the lactose present is transformed into lactic acid by the same ferments.
The milk used to create a wheel of Bella Lodi is collected sustainably, as it comes only from nearby farms in the Lodi and Crema areas. Bella Lodi is a cheese of the highest quality also because it is produced with certified milk from a well-defined and restricted origin area.
Bella Lodi has a certified supply chain, which means that the consumer can be assured that all the production cycle steps are monitored, in order to guarantee compliance with hygiene, safety, and complete traceability requirements, from the raw materials used, through the products and materials, to the finished product.

The Bella Lodi Riserva Oro from the Bella Lodi dairy (which we present here in a 1 kg portion) is excellent to consume as an appetizer, with cold cuts and nuts. It pairs well with medium-bodied wines like a Nebbiolo or a Barbera d'Alba. It's also worth trying alongside dessert wines.
