The Dry Oregano from Pantelleria by Kattibuale encapsulates all the aroma of the Sicilian Mediterranean! It is an aromatic herb with an intense fragrance produced in the terraces of the island, capable of withstanding often prohibitive climatic conditions: the fierce winds, cold nights, and long periods of drought are well known from this island very close to Tunisia.
The oregano is harvested in late spring, starting from the agricultural lands closest to the sea, when the flowering period has practically ended. Hand-picked, it is dried in the sun and subsequently crumbled, always by hand, using traditional methods.
The final stage of processing involves passing the oregano through a sieve several times to separate the woody residues and leaves from the final product, before it is stored in cool, dry places, preferably in the dark.
Ingredients: 100% Pantelleria oregano. No preservatives.
