Fior di Peperoncino is the spicy and flavorful variant of Tomello, a soft cheese, an exclusive creation of the Sicilian Fattoria Giambrone. This product is artisanally processed starting from raw cow's milk, obtained from the cows of family farms. The animals in question are cared for with dedication and respect, especially regarding their diet, which for several months of the year takes place in free-stall systems. This philosophy thus favors the control and quality of the milk produced, which will inevitably be transmitted to the dairy products.
Fior di Peperoncino is also an exclusive creation of Fattoria Giambrone, and is characterized by a soft and crumbly texture and a thin crust, less soft but very spicy. The outer part of the cheese is first coated with extra virgin olive oil and then sprinkled with chili powder, enjoying it together with the "inner world" of Tomello will be of a refined and mildly spicy pleasure.
The Fior di Peperoncino has a sweet flavor with a very slight acidic vein. The spicy and slightly aromatic notes come from the chili powder, which makes the cheese spicy and perfect for tasty appetizers, paired with hearty abbey beers or sparkling wines.
