The Veneto Valpolicella DOP Extra Virgin Olive Oil must contain at least a percentage of the native Grignano and Favarol varieties. It has a significant percentage of monounsaturated fatty acids and a notable aromatic portion that nonetheless characterizes it as a medium fruity oil.
It smells of fresh olive and green apple with a nice component of green tomato leaf and Mediterranean herbs. Fruity on the palate with a pleasantly slightly almond finish. It is excellent for dressing salads, on stewed fish, red mullet, and lake whitefish. Additionally, it is pleasant on white meats such as chicken, turkey, and rabbit. Great for vegetable dips and vegetable pizzas.
