Moscato d'Asti DOCG La Caliera

This sparkling Moscato d'Asti is a wonder for the palate and carries with it the beauty of the Langhe Astigiane touched by the marine breeze brought by the Marin that blows from the south.

It bears the name of a woman who lived for many years in a house at the edge of the vineyards owned by the Borgo Maragliano company. It is a memory of a generous heart and a calm character that is reflected in these old vines that, having reached an advanced life cycle, allow for a harvest rich in “suggestions”.

Characteristics

Composition: 100% moscato bianco di Canelli. The grapes are cultivated at 360 meters above sea level on a slope of 32% with a south-west exposure. Actual alcohol content is 5.0% vol. Potential alcohol content is 8.5% vol. Total alcohol content is 13.5% vol.

Moscato d'Asti DOCG La Caliera: use in the kitchen

The sparkling Moscato d'Asti DOCG "La Caliera" can gently accompany desserts, fresh fruit, and fruit salads. It should be served at a temperature between 10° and 12°C in crystal glasses.

Tasting

This is a high-altitude Moscato, full-bodied, velvety, and with an intense aroma featuring notes of candied fruit, acacia flowers, and a musky background. Unique is the olfactory perception of "violet".
