The dried lentils from the Azienda Agricola Cleopatra are dried legumes cultivated naturally, without the use of chemicals, working them entirely by hand and respecting the rhythms of the seasons.
Lentils are a small legume cultivated since ancient times, growing in small bushes about half a meter tall and born in small pods containing two flattened seeds. Lentils are practically free of fats and cholesterol and are naturally rich in plant proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, minerals (especially calcium and iron), and isoflavones (important antioxidant enzymes).
The dried lentils from Sardinia by Azienda Agricola Cleopatra are excellent for preparing appetizers, minestrone soup, soups, rice, side dishes, veggie meatballs, and burgers.
Before cooking, it is advisable to subject them to rehydration, soaking them in warm water for about 6 hours.
They should be stored in well-closed containers in a dark, cool, and dry place, away from heat sources.
It is best to consume them within 3 years from the packaging date.
